Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf?”

In the huge debate around the ecologic transition process, during the last month, another enemy appeared on the scene. Something we can imagine and define with the most classic motto of all the children’s novels.

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?

A DANGEROUS ATTEMPT

Yes, because in the last few months there’s been an attempt to rehabilitate fossil fuels, with the intention of demonstrating that complete decarbonization in matter of energy usability and generation, is nearly impossible.

This is due to growing difficulties in finding enough sources of alternative energy, and the lack of technologies and methods to exploit the ones that already exist.

In that debate, a crucial role is played by the recent multiple statements given by different stakeholders.

These series of statements designed a new rescue for non-green energy sources exploitation, and this setting represents a new threat for the ecologic transition proces

THE ROLE OF THE ENERGY BUSINESS STAKEHOLDERS

Our job, as EPC contractor, working in the biogas sector, is particularly important, due to our role in this well-developed market.

We have the crucial responsibility, to make people aware of the importance of our job in the ecological transition process. In addition, it’s extremely important to fight against all kinds of attempts put under the common label of the so-called “greenwashing“.

Related to greenwashing, there’s the practice of discrediting the actions put up to create a biogas market.

Thanks to the same old topics, fake or manipulated data, and opinion leaders that support the spreading of these kinds of messages, there’s an attempt to delegitimize the role of biogas and bio-methane in the decarbonization process.

During our recent speech at the West Michigan Food processing Association’s last event, we enforced our role as key stakeholder in the ecologic transition process, and we had the chance to underline the matter.
